In 1964, Friedrich and Theresia Zmugg, the parents of current managing director Wolfgang Zmugg, began producing post-mix syrup in the backyard of their small grocery shop. When Wolfgang Zmugg took over syrup production in 1982, the business had just one employee and 183 customers.\n\nIt soon became clear that the company needed a distinctive, memorable name. Grapos \u2013 short for Grazer Postmix Sirup (Graz post-mix syrup) \u2013 was born, creating the first post-mix syrup brand. Today, Grapos is an established name in the European beverage and food service industries.\n\nOver the decades, the post-mix syrup business developed into a remarkable success story. Production moved to Triesterstra\u00dfe in Graz in 1982. Growing demand made further expansion necessary in 1998, and Grapos subsequently established its production facility in Lannach near Graz, now one of Europe\u2019s most advanced post-mix syrup manufacturing facilities. Since 1999, the renowned Grapos post-mix syrups have been produced and bottled here in accordance with European food hygiene standards (HACCP).<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
